The Global Liberty Alliance, alongside Advancing American Freedom and over thirty other conservative groups, has taken a stand against the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) recent actions concerning mifepristone, a widely used abortion medication. The coalition has filed an amicus brief highlighting concerns over the FDA's relaxation of safety protocols and questioning the approval standards of the drug.
The Global Liberty Alliance joins Advancing American Freedom and other pro-life groups to urge Congress to defund the Biden Administration's anti-life TANF rule in the appropriations process. As we make clear in the attached letter, “The needless targeting of pro-life centers will only hurt women and children, when they are at their most vulnerable.”
The controversy surrounding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and Hamas primarily revolves around allegations that Hamas, recognized as a terrorist organization by several countries, has misused UNRWA facilities and resources in Gaza for militant purposes. Critics argue that Hamas has exploited schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure provided or operated by UNRWA to store weapons, shield militant activities, and launch attacks, thereby endangering civilians and compromising the humanitarian mission of the agency. These allegations have led to significant scrutiny and calls for reform within UNRWA, as well as debates over the funding and oversight of its operations in the region, with some advocating for a cessation of support until assurances against such misuse are firmly in place.
The Global Liberty Alliance has signed on to a letter that includes diverse groups of civil society leaders representing various faiths that have united in offering prayers and support to two evangelical Christians in Finland who are undergoing their third trial. release of Mr. Jamshid Sharmahd, the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in Berlin has filed a criminal complaint with the Federal Public Prosecutor (GBA) in Karlsruhe against the Iranian regime. Mr. Sharmahd was kidnapped and falsely accused of crimes he did not commit and GLA has been advising on the family on the case since his abduction in 2020.
